Well being
Speaking about the work, Martin said that the work was part of a journey that saw him connect with a medium that saw his discover what he said was "the role that brass banding plays in the well being of the participants"in what was in some ways "an eco-system", that has "multi-generational activity built into it".
The work was performed this weekend by a large ensemble of the band conducted by Artistic Director Dr Robert Childs as part of the 'New Music Biennial' at Coventry's iconic Cathedral.
The event was promoted by the PRS Foundation and Southbank Centre in partnership with Coventry City of Culture. It will be performed again at London's Southbank on 2nd July.
