New duo to lead Tertnes

Margie Sutherland Antrobus and Katrina Marzella Wheeler will spearhead the musical approaches of Tertnes Brass on contest and concert stages over the next year.

Tertnes Brass has confirmed its conducting team for he 2026/2027 contesting season.

The Norwegian First Division band, who later this year will perform at the Brass in Concert Championship in Gateshead, will link up with Margie Sutherland Antrobus and Katrina Marzella Wheeler.

Margie will direct at their forthcoming 'Brass Pub' project with her fellow First Division colleagues Flesland Musikklag on Saturday 19th September, before they head together to the Siddis and Brass in Concert Championships in November.

Margie will also prepare the band ahead of the arrival of Katrina who will take them at the 2027 Norwegian National Championship in Bergen in February.

In making the announcement the band stated: "We feel incredibly privileged to work with Margie and Katrina, and look forward to a season filled with musical development, new challenges, nice trips and lots of good music!"
