The Royal Northern College of Music has announced that Brighouse & Rastrick baritone star Amy Ewen will join its RNCM Young Middle Brass workshop on Sunday 24th April.

In a slight change to the remaining dates this term, the Young Middle Brass and Young Tubas will be held on Sunday 24th April and Sunday 29th May.

The events are held between 10.00am — 1.00pm and are free to attend.

Wide range

They tailor the music to cater for a wide range of abilities and are open to all school age students. Young Middle Brass sessions are open to flugel, horn, baritone and euphonium players. The Young Tubas are open to Eb and Bb tuba players.

The Young Middle Brass sessions have had a great attendance this year. The events are run as an extension of the Junior RNCM school as part of the 'Young Projects' series, co-run by Helen Varley (Grimethorpe) and Mark Bousie (Fodens), and the Young Tubas workshops are run by Les Neish.
