New horn signing at Foden's

Foden's bid fond farewell to Nat Martin and welcome Grace Jeffers to their horn section.

Foden's welcome the new signing after bidding Nat Martin a fond farewell.

Following their defence of their National title at the Royal Albert Hall, Foden's have bid a fond farewell to horn player Nat Martin who has taken the decision to concentrate on his final year studies at the RNCM in Manchester.

Thanks

Speaking about the changes Mark Wilkinson told 4BR: "We thank Nat for his great time with us and wish him all the very best in his final year at the RNCM and future endeavours. We would also like to say a special thank you to Neil Blessett from Birmingham Citadel Band, after he helped the band in the run up to London."

The band's new appointment to the first horn role is Grace Jeffers. Grace was a member of the National Children's Band and National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain where she completed six courses. She also spent fourteen years with the Pemberton Band organisation with the past four years on solo horn.

I'm really looking forward to joining Foden's and cannot wait to start the new challenge, especially with the European Championships to look forward to next yearGrace Jeffers

Great addition

In welcoming her to the team, Foden's solo horn Jonathan Bates told 4BR: "Grace is a very talented player and will be a great addition to the section."

In response Grace added: "I've enjoyed many years with Pemberton and thank them all for the help and support that they have given me.

However, I'm really looking forward to joining Foden's and cannot wait to start the new challenge, especially with the European Championships to look forward to next year."
