Wychavon nearly up to the brim

There are only a few places left up for grabs for the 2019 Wychavon Festival of Brass — so if you want to play a part, be quick...

Wychavon
The response to the 2019 Wychavon Festival of Brass means only a few places are left to fill

The Wychavon Festival of Brass has confirmed that they only now have places left to entrants in the Second, Third and Fourth Sections for their event to be held on Saturday 2nd November.

Such has been the response to taking part, that the Championship and First Section are full (although bands wishing to be considered for a waiting wait can get in contact).

Take-up

A spokesperson told 4BR: "As you can imagine, we're delighted with the take-up to this year's event — one which continues to show that the Festival remains as one of the most important domestic events in the brass band calendar.

We do have some spots that can be filled in the Second, Third and Fourth Sections and we would encourage bands to get in touch if they wish to enjoy the contesting day experience with us."

Attraction

They added: "The attraction of the link to the British Open Spring Festival, the generous prize funds and the great contest day atmosphere means that we are just about full up, but bands in the top two sections who wish to be put on a waiting list can get in touch."
