The Lofthouse Band from Wakefield in Yorkshire is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year with a number of special events.

The band has become an integral part of the community, performing at local civic functions and offering people of all ages the opportunity to come and learn and perform brass band music.

New website

To mark the anniversary the band has launched a brand new website designed by MD Andrew Whitaker from Wakefield Go Web, which allows visitors to download audio tracks, purchase merchandise and buy concert tickets.

In June the band will hold a celebratory dinner for past and present members, and in July they will be holding a special percussion workshop day to give people the chance to try out all things to be hit and bashed!

In October the band will hold it special 20th anniversary concert featuring flugel star Mark Walters as well as the next generation of Lofthouse players in their brilliant Brass Roots learner band, whilst the year will be rounded off with the launch of a special anniversary CD recording.
