There is an early New Year's treat in store for brass fans at the RNCM in Manchester with the appearance of the Christian Lindberg for a recital concert.
Not only will you be able to hear the virtuoso trombonist in action, but he is also presenting all free 'Question & Answer' session before the performance on Tuesday 8th January.
Not to be missed
Speaking to 4BR, a spokesperson for the RNCM said that they were delighted to welcome back the artist for rare appearance — one that shouldn't be missed.
"Christian Linberg is remarkable performer — and we are delighted to welcome him back for what promises to be a superb recital.
He breaks down barriers as a musician, and so to be able to ask him about his work and the pieces he is playing will give the audience a rare insight into his artistic mind. It's not to be missed."
Specially curated
The specially curated programme will explore both romantic and contemporary pieces — including his own 'Black Hawk Eagle', whilst his exceptional partner accompanist of 40 years Roland Pontinen, will perform Rachmaninov and Liszt pieces as piano solos.

Sonata 'Vox Gabrieli' (Stjepan Sulek)
Preludes Op 32 Nos 5, 6, 7 and 9 (Sergei Rachmaninov)
