British Bandsman magazine has confirmed to 4BR an interim measure for customers who cannot, or do not wish to receive the digital version of the publication, which begins in October.
The company will post, once a month, an office printed copy of the four issues of the magazine for the same subscription price. This offer is available to UK customers only.
Prefer a hard copy
IBB Media Ltd Managing Director, Martin Gernon told 4BR: "Whilst the move back to a weekly publication and digital brings back the USPs of the magazine, particularly with the audio and video attraction, we do realise there are some customers who either have not got computer access or would still prefer a hard copy.
It is fair to say a lot of these customers have been loyal to British Bandsman for a large number of years and we therefore did not want to alienate this customer base by technological advances which could possibly deny them the familiar drop of 'The Bandsman' through the letterbox each month."
A letter and e-mail communication is currently en route to the thousands of subscribers, both past and present, informing them of how they can receive 'The Bandsman' in the future, and we hope there is a method everyone will be happy withMartin Gernon
Loyal customers
He added: "Whilst this creates additional workload, it is a task we will happily carry out to these loyal customers.
A letter and e-mail communication is currently en route to the thousands of subscribers, both past and present, informing them of how they can receive 'The Bandsman' in the future, and we hope there is a method everyone will be happy with."
Martin Gernon also confirmed that the 'SA Bandsman' publication was sold back to the Salvation Army three months ago, and that its distribution or production is no longer any part of British Bandsman.
