Roche Brass has announced the appointment of Mark Arnold as their new Musical Director.
Experience
Vastly experienced, Mark played percussion for the likes of Carlton Main, Brighouse & Rastrick, Black Dyke Mills, and for 14 years Grimethorpe Colliery.
Since turning his hand to conducting, he has also enjoyed success with St Austell Youth and latterly Indian Queens, where he rebuilt the band and led them to promotion to the Third Section in just two years.
Delighted
Roche Band Manager, Richard Hawkey told 4BR: "We are delighted Mark has accepted the invitation. He's no stranger to the band, having helped us on numerous occasions, as well as taking rehearsals.
We are all looking forward to working with him when he starts with us following the West of England Regional Championships."

Looking forward
In response Mark added: "I've enjoyed many great moments as a performer in brass bands, but I'm now relishing the challenge of achieving many more as a conductor. Roche Brass is a superb band and I'm looking forward to working with them."
Mark's first contest appearance will be at the British Open Senior Trophy in May.
