The new partnership looks to help develop further success for Hazel Grove Band

Hazel Grove Band has gained a welcome financial boost to build for the future, thanks to a new sponsorship partnership with local company Woodhall Properties.

The deal delivers an injection of cash until the end of the year to help fund a series of events which includes a special 25th anniversary evening and the band's annual Christmas Concert.

Considerable success

Reformed in 1992 thanks to the efforts of ex-Fairey cornet player Les Hall and his wife Joyce who are still active members, the band has gained considerable success in recent year under MD Nigel Beasley, who told 4BR:

"At a time when so many bands are struggling to keep going, it's testament to Les and Joyce that Hazel Grove not only reformed but has also risen to new heights. This extra support from gives a much needed boost to the band and adds to its financial security,"

Our firm, like Hazel Grove Band, is very part of the community. The concerts they hold benefit so many local people and we are glad to be able to helpJohn Woodhall

Long partnership

Woodhall Properties has been active in the area for many years with the partnership renewing a friendship link between Managing Director John Woodhall and Hazel Grove MD Nigel Beasley who attended Acacias Primary School together in Burnage.

In reply John Woodhall said: "Our firm, like Hazel Grove Band, is very part of the community. The concerts they hold benefit so many local people and we are glad to be able to help."
