The University of Salford Brass Band will be hosting a concert in aid of the mental health and well-bring charity 'Start in Salford' on Wednesday evening (7.00pm).
The event is being organised by University of Salford students and will be directed by Conductor Residence, Tom Davoren. It forms part of on-going outreach programme that looks to strengthen links to the local community and organisations that do valuable work within it.

Tom told 4BR: "We hope that brass band enthusiasts from Greater Manchester and beyond will join us for this charitable initiative. The students have done a remarkable job to support the amazing work undertaken by 'Start in Salford' in helping people of all ages and backgrounds within their own community.
It promises to be a great night of entertainment with a fantastic selection of music and a host of talented performers."
Talent
The student Adelphi Band comprises of members from a number of Championship bands leading regional ensembles and will perform works by Peter Graham, Martin Cordner, Paul Sharman, Paul Lovatt-Cooper, Peter Meechan and Leonard Ballantine.
The free concert starts at 7.00pm in Peel Hall at Salford University (M5 4WT) and parking is available at the University Irwell Place car park or directly outside Peel Hall itself.
