The eight talented musicians who will appear in the semi-final of the Radio 2 Young Brass Award 2017 have been announced.
10 minutes of repertoire
The recordings will take place on February 11th at the BBC Philharmonic Studio in Salford, where the young players will perform up to 10 minutes of repertoire with Foden's Band under conductor Michael Fowles.
The recordings will subsequently be sent to the judges who will select four players to perform in the Final on April 21st, which will be broadcast live from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester
