Shrewsbury Brass Band has announced that it has entered into a partnership with Shropshire Music Service Hub that they hope will be mutually beneficial to both organisations as well as their local community..

Excellent support

Band MD Steve Pritchard-Jones told 4BR: "We we formed in 2012 and already have a strong following in the Shropshire and West Midlands area as well as excellent support from Shropshire Freemasons and Shrewsbury Town Council.

In order to strengthen our links with youth music and the community of Shropshire we are keen to be a member of the Shropshire Music Hub".

We see the partnership as an excellent opportunity to further improve the standard of both bands and we are looking forward to supporting the music service in some exciting projects in 2017Band Chairman Phil Tyler

New partnership

The new partnership means that the band members will support the Shropshire Schools Brass Band as well as other ensembles run by Shropshire Music Service based in Shrewsbury.

Band Chairman Phil Tyler added: "We see the partnership as an excellent opportunity to further improve the standard of both bands and we are looking forward to supporting the music service in some exciting projects in 2017.

We would also like to thank the Shropshire Music Service for providing us with excellent new rehearsal facilities."
