Applications for Radio 2's search for the next brass star, the 2017 Young Brass Award, closes on 30th November.

Frank Renton features recordings by some previous competitors including winners Matilda Lloyd, Ross Knight, Katrina Marzella, James Fountain and Lewis Musson who have all gone on to principal positions in prestigious ensembles.
