The UK charity Brass for Africa, which plays a leading role in changing the lives of children in some of the poorest countries of the world has announced that Richard Evans has agreed to take on the high-profile role as one of their leading Brass Band Ambassadors.
Superb ambassador
A Brass for Africa spokesperson told 4BR: "With his global brass band reputation, wit and enthusiasm, Richard will be a superb ambassador to speak to the banding community about the charity's work and to elicit its support."
Brass for Africa will be making an equally high-profile appeal for support at the forthcoming British Open Championship at Symphony Hall in Birmingham (Saturday 10th September), where people can find out more about the essential practical help they can give with its ground breaking work.
Find out more at British Open
With patrons such as trumpet stars Allison Balsom and Guy Barker at the forefront of raising the charity's profile, the British Open will also give many more people the chance to find out more about helping to give life-changing donations, such as unwanted instruments, mouthpieces, music, mutes and stands.
In addition, Brass for Africa has also created other ways you can support them, including becoming a Gold Level, Brass for Africa Charity Partner.
