11th October:
Frank Renton with all the music and conversation from Royal Albert Hall where 20 of our top bands competed last Saturday at the National Brass Band Championships.
Cory will be looking to retain their crown as the sounds of Black Dyke, Brighouse & Rastrick, Flowers, Fairey and Foden's amongst others look to impress the judges.
They all play 'Journey of the Lone Wolf' by award winning composer Simon Dobson who combines writing with conducting notably as Assistant Musical Director at the National Youth Brass Bands of Great Britain.

18th October:
Recently awarded the Iles Medal for services to the brass band movement, conductor and cornet star Russell Gray looks back over his career with Frank Renton.
He recalls the big move 'south of the border' from his home in Scotland, his first appearance in the Black Dyke rehearsal room and he remembers his inaugural concert withStavanger Brass Band with an audience that included the King and Queen of Norway and a sizeable number of that country's wealthy oil industry — so no pressure there then!
