Foden's to give Shirebrook musical aperitif

Foden's will provide the brilliant concert aperitif to the Shirebrook Festival next month.

Foden's Band will be providing an exciting concert aperitif at the Shirebrook Festival of Brass next month.

The current North West Regional champion will be performing a concert at Shirebrook Leisure Centre on Saturday 9th July ahead of the Shirebrook Entertainment contest the next day.

Fantastic variety

Organised by Bolsover District Council and Shirebrook Town Council, the concert, which starts at 7.00pm, will see the band perform a fantastic variety of repertoire including Bernstein's 'Candide Overture', Monti's 'Czardas', Henry Mancini's 'Moon River', 'Fanfare and Flying Theme from E.T'., 'Autumn Leaves', Wagner's 'Entrance of the Gods into Valhalla', plus much more.

Featured soloists will include Mark Wilkinson, David Thonton, Richard Poole, John Barber and Mark Landon.

Tickets for this event are on sale now priced at £12 (adults) and £10 (concessions) and can be purchased from Shirebrook Leisure Centre on 01623 748313 as well as Shirebrook Town Council office on 01623 742475.
