Tickets for the 164th British Open Championships are now on sale from Symphony Hall in Birmingham.

Triumph of Time

The oldest and most prestigious major contest in the banding world will take place on Saturday 10th September at where Grimethorpe Colliery Band will defend its title against a field of rivals from the UK, Europe and New Zealand on Peter Graham's test-piece, 'The Triumph of Time'.

It will be the first time that both a European and New Zealand band will compete at the vent in the same year with Brass Band Willebroek and Wellington Brass bringing their talents to the iconic hall.

The contest, sponsored by Besson, will commence at 10.00am. With the event attracting a sell out audience in the past couple of years, brass band lovers are asked to book their tickets quickly to ensure they are guaranteed a seat to enjoy the fantastic musical action.
