The Indian Queens Band recently made a wonderful return to the regional contesting arena at the recent West of England Championships in Torquay.
It proved to be a great comeback — 22 years after their last appearance — especially after they were tipped as a 'Dark Horse' by 4Barsrest — coming a brilliant fourth in a competition against 20 other outstanding rivals.
Couldn't believe it
MD Mark Arnold told 4BR: "We couldn't believe it when the results were announced and we had come fourth. You could hear our cheers of delight — especially as it turned out that we were the top placed Cornish band."

Bugle call
The band will now look to continue their success by competing at the famous outdoor Bugle Contest in July as well as returning to the Exmouth contest in September to defend their title.
They also hope to raise funds with a busy concert season where they will perform at the local Ship Inn, Par, Victoria Gardens, Truro, Killacourt, Newquay and various carnivals.
