Welsh bands to take foot off the gas

Gas mains work near the Brangwyn Hall in Swansea will need to be taken into account by the competing bands at the Welsh Regional Championship this year.

Bands competing at the forthcoming Welsh Regional Championships in Swansea on the weekend of 20th/21st March are being warned that they may well face delays in getting to parking spots near to the Brangwyn Hall due to Gas Mains work being carried out close to the venue.

Road closures

Western Gas Alliance informed 4BR:"We have a Gas Mains Replacement scheme being carried out weekend of 18th/19th/20th/21st March on St Helens Road at the junction with St Helens Avenue, Bond Street and Oxford Street, with road closures in place on the side streets."

They added: "We wish to inform you of possible delays in this area around these dates. Letters will be sent to local residents advising of these works within the next couple of weeks."
