The Skelmanthorpe Band organisation will be holding its annual Area test piece evening on Saturday 27th February.
The event will take place at Pilling Lane Methodist Chapel, Pilling Lane, Skelmanthorpe, Huddersfield (HD8 9EQ) commencing at 6.30pm.
Set works
The evening will showcase the set-works bands will perform at the forthcoming Yorkshire Regional Championship contest at St. Georges Hall, Bradford on the weekend of 5th/6th March (above).

The bands taking part in order of performance:
Fourth Section: Huddersfield & Ripponden (The Journal of Phileas Fogg)
Third Section: Dodworth Colliery (A Cambrian Suite)
Second Section: Skelmanthorpe Prospect Brass (The Mermaid of Zennor)
First Section: Skelmanthorpe (Essay)
Championship Section: Strata Brass (Cambridge Variations)
The bands will play a hymn tune followed by their respected test piece.
There will be refreshments available throughout the evening including, both homemade cakes and buns. A small door charge of £3.00 will be made for non-players.
