Frank Renton presents the semi-final of the nationwide search for the next BBC Young Brass Musician of the Year.

Playing for a place in the final alongside Brighouse & Rastrick Band under conductor Leigh Baker, the eight talented young players also talk to Clare Freeman about their hopes and ambitions for the future.

The finalists are announced at the end of the programme.
