After enjoying the celebrations of Brass Band Buizingen's latest Belgian National title success last weekend, principal cornet and Besson artist Harmen Vanhoorne will be seeking new 'Horizons' as he prepares to fly to the United States.
Guest soloist
Harmen will be the featured guest soloist in St Paul, Minnesota on December 12th with the renowned Grand Symphonic Winds Orchestra under the baton of conductor Matthew J George, where he will perform Nigel Clarke's cornet concerto, 'Mysteries of the Horizon'.
Before the performance of the immense work which was written for him in 2012, Harmen will stop off in Wisconsin where thanks to an invitation from Kristin Tjornehoj from the University Wisconsin-River Falls, he will join Nigel Clarke to give a number of performance lectures and recitals.
Midwest visit
Following the eagerly anticipated performance in Minnesota Harmen will then visit the Midwest Clinic in Chicago to catch up with colleagues and fellow musicians and explore the possibilities of further projects in the United States.
