Geneva Instruments has congratulated their collaborative partner band, Brighouse & Rastrick on their fine performance at the British Open Championship.
Elite performer
A spokesperson told 4BR: "The British Open is widely regarded as the most prestigious, as well as the most difficult contest in the world to win. However, Brighouse & Rastrick's achievement in coming so close this year once again shows that they are one of the banding world's elite performers."
Under the baton Geneva's International Advisory Consultant, Professor David King, the West Riding band notched up their best result at the event since 1983, and with the National Finals to come in London in a few weeks time, further silverware may well be on the musical horizon.
Exceptional
Geneva's founder, Tim Oldroyd told 4BR: "As well as a top class performance, the Geneva Artists in the band gave exceptional solo contributions.
The quality of the ensemble sound and individual technique was superb — and spoke volumes for our exciting association with the band."

Players
He added: "It was wonderful to hear players such as New Zealand born principal cornet Kyle Lawson who gave an outstanding debut performance in leading the band, Lucy Cutt on flugel horn, Sheona White on solo horn, Ryan Watkins on solo trombone and Glenn Van Looy on euphonium.
All these fine players stood out as top class. It was a band performance that Geneva Instruments was proud to be part of with our world class instruments."
