To mark the start of their summer break, members of the City of Chester Training Band recently gave a concert for parents, friends and supporters under the baton of conductor Ian Clowes (above).

Opportunity

The concert gave an opportunity to showcase the excellent progress the players have made as well as reward them for their efforts — including Daniel Craig who was presented with the David Else Trophy as the 'Most Improved Player'.

Daniel only joined the band and alongside his father both have recently passed their Grade 2 cornet examinations with Daniel gaining merit status.
