An ensemble from Tredegar Band has just completed recording tracks at the famous Monnow Studios in Monmouth for the forthcoming album of singer-songwriting group, 3 Bucket Jones.
Visitor Book
The studios have played host to the likes of Oasis, Stereophonics and Black Sabbath in recent years, with Tredegar now adding their name to a pretty distinguished 'Visitors Book'.
The players met up with group members Garry Hughes, Andrew McCrorie-Shand and Gitika Partington for the session on Thursday evening, with the album hopefully to be released by the end of September.
Fantastic
"The players were fantastic,"Gitika told 4BR. "After hearing them in rehearsal we just knew they would bring something special to the album — and they have.
We were amazed that brass bands can be so flexible in what they do. Now we have plans to try something else together."

Thrill
Tredegar Band Manager Matt Shaw added: "It was a real thrill to work with the group and to follow in the recording footsteps of some pretty famous bands.
These are the type of projects we are increasingly becoming part of and enjoying."
