Tredegar Band will be marking off another notable recording studio appearance this week as they make the short trip to the famous Monnow Studios in Monmouth to team up with singer songwriting group, 3 Bucket Jones, on their new album.
Led Zeppelin
The studios have played host to the likes of Led Zeppelin, Queen, Oasis, Stereophonics, Black Sabbath and many more over the years, and following their recording at the famous Air Studios in Hampstead last year the band will now team up with group members Garry Hughes, Andrew McCrorie-Shand and Gitika Partington.
Andrew and Gitika (above) recently came up to Tredegar to hear the band in rehearsal and told 4BR that the band's growing reputation for being part of innovative musical projects made them the ideal choice.
Great time
"We have so many friends in the music business that when we said we would like to record with a brass band, Tredegar's name was immediately mentioned,"Gitika said.
It was great to hear them live and we are sure we are going to have a great time together in a pretty amazing studio."
We are delighted to team up with Garry, Andrew and Gitika and play at such a historic recording venue. The Led Zeppelin fans in the band are over the moonMD, Ian Porthouse
Different profile
Tredegar MD Ian Porthouse added: "These are the type of projects that we are increasingly becoming part of — and ones that bring a very different type of profile to the band.
We are delighted to team up with Garry, Andrew and Gitika and play at such a historic recording venue. The Led Zeppelin fans in the band are over the moon."
