Lofthouse 2000 Band has been awarded £2000 grant from the Community Development Fund, which helps community projects in some of the most deprived areas of the country.
Training
The grant will help provide training to a group of local young people in modern studio-recording techniques, using up to date equipment, as well as providing them with the appropriate experience when seeking employment.
Benefit
MD Andrew Whitaker told 4BR: “This grant will help the organisation continue to be proactive within the community and will hopefully give the young people a way into employment.”
The classes will run by James Beecham and Dynamic Mobile Recordings on a Monday evening from 7.30pm, and will run for six weeks, covering a range of topics and leading to the recording a CD of the band.
Interested
Andy added: "The numbers available are limited, so will be available on a first come basis. So anyone interested should contact the band.
We are thankful to the Community Development Fund for the grant and the opportunities this will give young people in the Lofthouse area."
