British Open champion Tredegar has been the victim of a pernicious piece of vandalism which came to light at their rehearsal on Thursday evening.

Between Tuesday morning and their regular Thursday evening rehearsal, it was found that damage had been deliberately caused to some percussion instruments and property, whilst it was also found that someone had also urinated on one of the player’s rehearsal seats.

The matter is now in the hands of the local police with an investigation to take place into the criminal damage.

A spokesperson for the band told 4BR: "We have always welcomed visitors to our bandroom, but we have been asked by the police to review our access policy and security.

We are grateful to the police for their prompt action on this matter which has been officially logged for further investigation."
