US Open competitors announced

The seven bands that will battle it out for the premier entertainment contesting crown in America have been announced.

The organisers of the 2013 US Open Championship have announced the names of the competing bands that will take part in America’s premier entertainment event at the Norris Cultural Arts Center in St. Charles, Illinois on Saturday, November 2nd.

11th running

The 11th running of the competition is organised by Brass Bands International and hosted by the Prairie Brass Band in partnership with Buffet Group.

The competing bands are:

Capital City Brass (Lansing, Michigan)
Chicago Brass (Chicago, Illinois)
Dublin Silver Band (Columbus, Ohio)
Eastern Iowa Brass (Cedar Rapids, Iowa)
Fountain City Brass (Kansas City, Missouri)
Illinois Brass Band (Arlington Heights, Illinois)
Prairie Brass Band (Arlington Heights, Illinois)

The 11th running of the competition is organised by Brass Bands International and hosted by the Prairie Brass Band in partnership with Buffet Group4BR

Titles

The seven bands will be competing for trophies and titles including: Grand Champion, Most Entertaining Band, Best Performance of a March, Best New Composition or Arrangement for Brass Band, Most Outstanding Percussion Section and Best Featured Soloist.
