Fulham Brass has announced the appointment of Christopher Augustine as their new Musical Director.
High calibre
A spokesperson told 4BR: "After a long process with a high calibre of candidates we are pleased to welcome Chris to the band, where he has already started working on our next contest as part of the SCABA Autumn Contest in Crawley on Sunday 29th September."
Versatile
The trombonist is regarded as one of the most exciting and versatile young musicians to have emerged from East London in recent years, having studied on a postgraduate course at the Royal Academy of Music with scholarship under Mark Templeton, Gordon Campbell, Ian Bousfield, Matthew Gee and Dudley Bright.
He previously graduated with distinction from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance on the Master of Music (MMus) course under Graham Spencer Lee.

Principal
Chris has played principal trombone with the World Youth Orchestra, Young Musicians’ Symphony Orchestra and the University of London Symphony Orchestra and is now on trial for the Sub-Principal Trombone seat with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
He has played with Aveley & Newham since 2010 and is said to be extremely excited to be appointed Musical Director of the band.
