Following the success of the 2012 Brass for Heroes concert, 4BR has been informed that the popular fund raising event will return once more later this year.
More funds
Last year’s concert raised over £800 for Help for Heroes, and as organisers Josh Cirtina and Jonny Bates told 4BR, they hope this year’s event will raise even more much needed funds.
"Last year was a huge success at the RNCM," they said.
"This year we want to make the event even bigger and better. The standard will be higher than ever and will definitely be an event not to be missed!"
All Star
That will see an appearance by an ‘All Star Youth Band’ comprising a selection of the country’s finest young brass banding talent, who will be led by Cory MD, Philip Harper, with featured soloist, Black Dyke principal cornet Richard Marshall.

New music
There will be plenty of great music on show too — with Jonathan himself will be writing a special march to go along with new works from Nic Mills and Christopher Bond.
The concert will take place on Saturday 19th October at St Paul’s Hall in Huddersfield, commencing at 6:30pm.
