Report & Results: 2013 North Wales Solo, Duet & Quartet Contest

There was an excellent turn out of players at the North Wales BBA Contest.

The North Wales Brass Bands Association held its annual Solo, Duet & Quartet Contest at Y Galeri, Caernarfon last Saturday with over 100 contestants taking part.

The trophy for the band with the most points went to Deiniolen.

Iwan Williams

A trophy in memory of the late Iwan Williams, for the most promising player under 12 years of age not in the prizes, was awarded to Ifan Jones of Beaumaris.

Most appropriately, Ifan is a flugel player. The Association was pleased to welcome Iwan’s parents for the award of the trophy.
