4BR has been informed that following the recent AGM of the Council of West of England Brass Band Association, it was unanimously agreed that the incumbent Officers who work so hard to provide the region with a highly successful Area Championship in Torquay each year be re-elected:
The posts are as follows:
Chairman — Frances Calver
Secretary — Brian Elliott
Treasurer — Mike Knapton
Registrar — Vivian Willcock
Elliott to retire in 2013
A spokesperson told 4BR: "It was reluctantly noted that Brian Elliott would not be seeking re-election in twelve months time. The search for his successor has already commenced and an announcement will be made in due course."
