One of Welsh bandings lesser known lights certainly placed themselves right at the heart of the Principality’s recent Olympic Torch celebrations.
Welcome
Loughor Town Band from near Llanelli took part in the festivities at the Castle Square in Swansea to welcome the Olympic Torch to the City.
Pleased
Band Chairman Dorian Mardon told 4BR: "We were extremely pleased to play ourr part in the Torch Relay celebrations. It was a first for the band and the first and probably the only time in most of the players' life time to be part of the Olympics."
He added: "There was a very large crowd and the atmosphere was electric. Our thanks go to the City and County of Swansea for the invite."
