The Haworth Band has said a heartfelt thank you to their outgoing Chairman Graham Richardson, who has retired from the post he has held with great distinction and commitment for the past 20 years.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "Graham has been Chairman for over 20 years, and on behalf of the Haworth Band we want to wish him all the best for the future and thank him for the immense amount of hard work he has put in."

Final duty

One of Graham's final duties was to recently appoint Mark Wildie as the band's new MD.

Stephen Quinlan has now taken over as chairman as the band looks forward to a busy concert programme and a return to contesting in 2013.
