The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra has announced the retirement of Associate Principal Trombone, Blyth Lindsay, at the end of the current season.
Successful
Blyth joined the RLPO in 1978 and will have served 34 years on his retirement in July 2012. Prior to joining the RLPO, Blyth enjoyed a very successful freelance career.
A spokesperson said: "The orchestra has accepted Blyth’s resignation with regret, but understands his desire to live life to the full with Barbara, whilst he is still young."
