Land O' Burns announce entrants

The Land O' Burns contest has attracted a dozen bands from both sides of Hadrian's Wall this year.

The Dalmellington Band has announced that the annual Land O’Burns Invitation Brass Band Contest will take place on Saturday 20th August at Troon Concert Hall.

Supported by South Ayrshire Council, there is generous prize money on offer, with 12 competing bands attracted from both sides of Hadrian’s Wall.

For the first time there will be a split draw, whilst each band will perform an own choice programme that must not exceed 20 minutes, and must feature a section of the band in at least one item.

Play commences at 10.30am and tickets, available at the door on the day, are £6 and £4 concession.
