Leicestershire Co-op (Snibston) Band has announced the arrival of two new horn players, to boost the ranks ahead of the forthcoming National Finals in Cheltenham.

Flugel and solo horn

Sheila Dixon joins on flugel after a period as principal cornet at Newhall Band, whilst Richard Shaw makes the move from Kibworth to take up the solo horn seat.

MD Graham Jacklin told 4BR: "This is a great news for the band. It really adds strength and depth to the middle and they are both great proven soloists. We can look forward to the Final’s knowing we are getting stronger all the time."
