Brass and percussion players from across the UK are invited to audition for the National Children’s Brass Band of Great Britain and the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain.
Open
The National Youth Band is open to musicians aged 12 to 18, whilst the National Children’s Band is open to musicians aged 8 to 14.
The 80-strong National Youth Band holds two one-week intensive residential courses each year and the 56-strong National Children’s Band holds an annual one-week intensive course.
High profile
Internationally renowned conductors and a team of high profile instrumentalists lead courses, culminating in a series of high profile concerts.

Administrator Philip Biggs told 4BR: "We are looking at talented children and teenagers from across the UK to audition for one of the two prestigious bands.
Both bands are a great breeding ground for talented youngsters, with many former members going on to become leading performers in the professional music and brass band world."
