Welsh bands to raise profile

Carols For Cymru at the Wales Millennium Centre set to raise Welsh banding profile under the baton of Nigel Seaman.

Addressing the need to raise the profile of brass bands in Wales, 'Making Music Wales' and Ty Cerdd, in association with the Welsh Brass Band Forum, has informed 4BR that they are inviting players from across the Principality to come together at the iconic Wales Millennium Centre, to provide a massed celebration voluntary music making.

The free event is aimed at offering as many Welsh based music makers the opportunity to join together and collectively raise the profile of voluntary music in Wales4BR

Free event

The free event on the December 21st is entitled 'Carols for Cymru', and is aimed at offering as many Welsh based music makers the opportunity to join together and collectively raise the profile of voluntary music in Wales.

Everyone is welcome to participate, either as individuals or in groups.

Brass players

The performance will take place in the Glanfa foyer of the Millennium Centre at 6:00pm, and all brass players and vocalists from across Wales are invited to perform as part of the massed brass band and massed Christmas choir, under the direction of leading Welsh conductor Nigel Seaman.

Repertoire

Repertoire will consist wholly of Christmas music.
