Verwood Concert Brass has announced tow new signings as they prepare for the 2011 contest season.

Simon Carr joins from Yeovil Town to take the Principal Eb Bass seat whilst 15 year old Iona Adams also from Yeovil takes her place to bolster the back row.

Bandmaster Mike Dunnings told 4BR: "These are important signings for VCB at a time where we are still looking for a new MD. Simon is a class act having wowed the audience whilst playing ‘Czardas’ at our last concert.

We are fortunate to gain Simon and look forward to the New Year and to continue moving towards the Championship Section."
