A previously reported on 4BR, on Saturday, 16 members of the former Edge Hill British Railway Band, joined forces with current members of the Formby Band to march down the cobbled approach of the historic Edge Hill railway station.
Struck up
Once the band arrived at it’s destination they struck up the march ‘Senator’ conducted by Bob Dean, on the station platform, much to the delight of passengers, supporters, guests and the appreciative audience.

Metal's Director, Ian Brownbill presented former Edge Hill member Roy Shaw with a certificate to mark his lifelong contribution to brass bands – and at the tender age of 83 Roy is still playing with Formby Band!
Present
Roy also received a copy of ‘Cory, Cory, Alleluia’ as a present to mark his contribution to banding with a personal message from Bob Childs.
