Childs signed by Besson

David Childs becomes headline galactico signing for Besson.

4BR has been informed that Besson has signed up David Childs to become one of its leading promotional artists.

Galactico

The 'galactico' signing has been seen a major coup for Besson following the announcement of the demise of rivals York, for whom the Cory euphonium star was one of their most high profile endorsees.

Antoine Beaussant, President of Buffet Crampon, told 4BR: "We are proud to announce the arrival of international euphonium soloist David Childs as a Besson artist."

Iconic brass talents

He added: "We recognise David as one of the leading iconic brass talents in the world today. He represents a younger generation of musician and we are delighted to welcome him to our team."

The euphonium star will now perform on a Besson instrument as well as becoming an integral part of future instrument development with the Besson brand.

Natural transition

He told 4BR: "I consider working alongside a world class roster of artists with this most prestigious of brands a great honour. Besson have an unrivalled reputation and assisting them with the future development of their iconic euphonium range is a mouth watering prospect.

"On a personal level, returning to the brand I grew up playing represents a natural transition for me."

Striving for excellence

Brass Department Director Werner Duwé added: "In addition to securing the services of a remarkable musician, David's return to the Besson family epitomises our ethos of striving for continued excellence by building on the great traditions of the past."
