Last weekend saw the final event in the enjoyable 2010 series of concerts promoted and hosted by Darley Dale Cricket Club.

Raising funds

Every Sunday evening since the beginning of June various bands have played to an appreciative audience at the Cricket Club and in the process raised money for their funds by way of a raffle, auction and collection.

Help

The 14th and final concert of the series this year was given by Dronfield Band, with a little help from players of Shirland and Derwent Brass, conducted by John Davis, who agreed to play and donate the £330 raised to the two chosen charities of the Alzheimers Society and Cancer Research.
