Jonathan Corry, Bandmaster of Enfield Citadel band has just commenced his marathon moped/brass band conducting ride from John O'Groats to Land's End.
Classic
Jonathan, a keen classic bike enthusiast and brass band conductor, has fused his two passions to raise money for the Salvation Army 'Action Africa' and 'Riders for Health' charities.
And the conductor is making the trip aboard the appropriately named 1955 NSU 'Quickly' moped that has been donated for the run by Roger Wort.
The 'Action Africa' charity is raising funds for the Salvation Army mission in Chikakata which is trying to buy a new 4x4 ambulance whilst 'Riders for Health' provides medics in Africa with motorcycles, the knowledge to maintain them and various other transport management solutions.
