The full programme of events for the Great Northern Spring Brass Arts Festival which takes place at The Bridgewater Hall Manchester on Sunday 9th May have been released.

The presenter for the day is John Maines.

The full programme is as follows:

10.30am:
Foyer Concert: 2nd Rossendale Scout Group Band conducted by Graham Helm

12.00am:
Bridgewater Hall: Wingates Band conducted by Alan Morrison
Guest Soloist: Lesley Howie

1.30pm:
Foyer Music: Scherzo Brass

2.15pm:
Bridgewater Hall: The Leyland Band conducted by Russell Gray
Guest Soloist: Amy Gilreath

3.15pm:
Bridgewater Hall: Elland Silver Youth Band conducted by Samantha Harrison

4.15pm:
Bridgewater Hall: Brighouse & Rastrick Band conducted by David King
Guest Soloists: Katrina Marzella, Simone Rebello and Lydia Hoen Tjore

6.30pm:
Foyer Music: Scherzo Brass

7.15pm:
Bridgewater Hall: Cory Band, conducted by Robert Childs and Foden’s Band conducted by Garry Cutt

September 5 • Championship section band seeking CORNETS (positions negotiable), Eb BASS, and PERCUSSIONISTS to join our committed, hard-working and friendly team, performing a balanced diary of concerts and contests.


Harrogate Band

September 4 • The Harrogate Band are looking for a 1st Baritone and Soprano player to complete our team. Forward thinking and exciting band with a wide range of engagements and contests. Rehearsals are Wednesday 8pm in our own bandroom with great transport links.
