2010 4BR Money List

Despite the best efforts of the Greeks, there were still enough Euros left in Linz to boost the finances of bands to get to the top of the 4BR Money List.

Money

The value of the Euro may well have taken a bit of a nosedive in recent months, so it was well worth making a quick journey to the Bureau de Change at Linz airport for the likes of Cory on the weekend.

Propelled

Their hat trick win boosted their coffers to the tune of over £8,000 (first prize was cash and a euphonium) and propelled then to the top of the 4BR Money List.

Eikanger Bjorsvik picked up a tidy wodge of cash to turn into Norwegian Kroner, whilst the home town favourites of Brass Band Oberosterreich and Austria Brass Band also picked nice bundles of cash too.

Black Dyke’s disappointing return still saw them still win nearly £1,700, whilst fifth placed Buzingen took home close to £1,300.

Grenland trip

Elsewhere, Mount Charles enjoyed their trip to Grenland to boost their cash in the bank, whilst the recent contests at Buxton, National Youth, Fife and Tameside all paid out some much needed dosh.

There are currently 266 bands on the Money List for 2010, with more to make their mark over the coming few weeks4BR
