As first reported on the 4BR Euro Blog from Linz last week, the European Brass Band Association has confirmed the venues that will host the European Brass Band Championships from 2011 — 2014.
Refurbished
The 2011 event will take place for a third time at the impressive Stravinski Auditorium in Montreux, Switzerland, which hosted the competition previously in 1994 and 2001.
The event, which will run from 24th April to 1st May, will also host the 5th European Conductor's Competition and European Youth Brass Band, whilst event organisers have also confirmed that the set work for the Championship Section will be written by well known Swiss composer Oliver Waespi.
The B Section work will come from the pen of Stephen Hodel.

Netherlands
After a period of some confusion over the venue for the 2012 event, it has now been confirmed that the contest will return to the Netherlands in 2012, where it will take place at the refurbished De Doelen Hall in Rotterdam, which hosted the 1991 competition.
Norway and Scotland
The brand new state of the art Oslo Concert Hall in Norway will host the 2013 event, whilst the contest will return to Scotland for what will be the first time in a decade in 2014, when the city of Perth will host the contest.
