The cream of Europe’s top brass bands will perform ‘Spiriti’ by Thomas Doss, as the set work at the 2010 European Brass Band Championships in Linz in Austria on 30th April.
Inspired
The work is inspired by the compositional giants of Bach and Bruckner, and weaves the musical body as well as the spirit of their choral as well as symphonic output into a modern, idiomatic test piece.
Thomas Doss is one of Europe’s leading compositional voices, and the work will provide a wonderful test of the very best bands.
